STEVE HARPER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Available to any graduating senior enrolled in a Kansas high school that plans to attend a four-year college or university in the state of Kansas and study photography or natural resources curriculum. CAMP CHEROKEE ART INSTITUTE & STEM ACADEMY July 19-25, 2009. Camp Cherokee is an enriching cultural and academic experience for Cherokee Nation students. The camp will include cultural activities and feature the Art Institute summer program and STEM Academy (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) at the Heart O' Hills Camp & Conference Center in Welling Oklahoma. 320 Middle and High School Students (entering 6th-12th grade) will be selected to participate in the camp. ALLEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE We are always looking for talented and committed students who love participating in the arts and want a quality, affordable education for their first two years of college. Our activity scholarships cover full-time tuition plus the loan of textbooks. Students need not major in a fine arts field to be eligible for the scholarship. Those with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for additional financial awards. For more additional information and an application see Mr. Spruill in the guidancec office.

PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY HONORS COLLEGE is now accepting applications for the fall 2010 semester. Participation in the Honors College is limited to a select group of 36 academic scholars who reciece Presidentail, University, or Academis Achievement Scholarships. Criteria for application and potentail selection for enterin freshman include: 28 or higher coposite ACT score ( or SAT equivalent score of 1240); a minimum of 3.5 ( in a 4.0 scale) college prepatory high school grade point average. The deadline for submitting an application for Pittsburg State University Honors Colege is February 1. 2010.
